What does memecon mean?
memecon is a compound name made up of the terms meme and consulting.
  • Memes are content that people create and think—or, as M. Csikszentmihalyi puts it, "any fixed pattern of matter or information that is created by the act of human intentionality." The science of memes is memetics. Studying memes helps to shape meaning. Together with the use of structured methods, this leads to projects with little friction, matching processes, harmonious teams, and appropriate strategies that do the right thing.
  • In addition to straightforward consulting, our consulting services include support for individuals and groups as well as training.

With this holistic approach, memecon® differs significantly from most approaches that focus on individual areas of expertise.

Who is behind memecon®?
memecon® was founded in 2008 by me, Michael Lapp. Over the course of more than thirty years, I have grown alongside information technology in various roles at a DAX-listed company. Three areas have shaped my career:
  1. The importance of business processes,
  2. The potential of data and its significance, and
  3. The indispensable contribution of people.

Over time, I have
  • written IT programs and developed IT systems,
  • built and evaluated databases,
  • standardized and disseminated business process reengineering (BPR),
  • revised business processes for various corporate functions,
  • developed data and knowledge management,
  • formalized and established project management
  • Self-image management adapted,
  • systematizes business modeling,
  • simplified strategy management
  • managed projects related to the above topics,
  • managed various line functions  responsibly and
  • supported several reorganizations.

In Europe, America, and during a five-year assignment in Japan, I was able to put many ideas into practice. With memecon®, I have found a way to share my practical experience with others.
